KITE CP Knowledge Translation of implementation of Early detection of CP

Chief Investigators: Spittle, Novak, Boyd, Morgan et al., NHMRC Partnership (2018-2022). Implementation of international CPG on early diagnosis of CP.

Aims: Identify and diagnose infants who have CP or high-risk of CP by six months C.A. Implement a program of training, early detection of adverse NDD.

Methodology: Parents of high risk infants (n=1000) aged 3-4 mths will video their infant’s GMs using a smartphone app. Those with abnormal GMs are assessed using HINE and referred for early intervention. Children are assessed at 2 years to ascertain developmental outcomes. This implementation study involves training clinicians in GMA and HINE.
