This is a second targeted cohort study of term-born infants at risk of CP including Neonatal Encephalopathy, birth defects, inflammation/infection, small for gestational age (SGA), "presumed birth asphyxia" will determine the combination of MRI and clinical biomarkers for earlier detection of CP/no CP.
Another current study focuses on early detection of typical/mild outcomes (PREMTIME study, n=120). These studies will provide markers for a good outcome not requiring intervention and poor outcomes requiring earlier intervention increasing cost effectiveness.
