ANNE McKENZIE AO, Leader in Consumer Engagement and Involvement, Advisor to the Australasian Cerebral Palsy Clinical Trials Network CRE. Anne McKenzie AM, has lead a Consumer Engagement Network for the University of WA and the Telethon Kids Institute for the past 15 years. AI McKenzie holds many national consumer advocate/representative positions for the NHMRC and the Department of Health. Most recently she was the consumer representative on the MRFF Genomics Health Futures Mission Steering Committee and the Clinical Trials Governance Steering Committee for the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare. AI McKenzie will use her vast professional expertise, and lived experience, to guide consumer focus in our Aus-CP-CTN Network, and be a voice for and with the CP community. Together, with all members of the CRE Network, she will help to actively involve and engage the CP community and the wider stakeholder group, helping to disseminate and communicate the activities and research outputs of the CRE. Anne has been leading the involving Consumers in Research Training for the CRE (training > 60 Researchers and > 30 Consumers) directly for the CRE. Anne has developed a model training Researchers/ clinicians and consumers to be Trainers at each of the sites in the CRE using as a Train the Trainer Model.
